• An expectant mother should not participate in funeral activities. Doing so would endanger the mother and the baby during delivery. If a pregnant woman wears clothes which were hung overnight, the fetus will be affected.
• It is believed that when denied the food a pregnant mother likes, her child will salivate profusely and will be prone to vomiting.
• A pregnant woman should eat all the food on her plate, so that when she delivers, everything will come out, leaving her womb clean.

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands."

Retailing holds a special fascination and interest for us from the years that we were directly connected with the small men's apparel. We found it exciting and the most challenging. So to get better view of the importance of retailing to us. We should realize that a large percentage of your consumer's dollar goes to pay for it It is difficult to pinpoint how much of the retail sales dollar goes to pay for the costs of retail operations. ("Retailing" 1979, XV)

There are ways of classifying Retail Stores:

Stores can be classified in several ways. Ownership is one commonly used criterion: the independent owned store versus the outlet that is a member of a chain of stores all owned by one party. The nature of the products carried is widely used to classify stores. There are grocery, drug, furniture, clothing, shoe, and a multitude of other stores each carrying different types of products. ( Buskirk R.H & Buskirk B.R., p.XV)

According to Buskirk R.H & Buskirk B.R. (1979) one kind of the retail stores is the APPAREL store, it is use as the model for instructional purposes because in many respects apparel merchants face the must difficult operational problems. They deal in a fashion product which makes their buying decisions difficult. If they buy the wrong fashions foe theirs costumer, they must take charge markdowns on those mistakes. Excellent inventory systems must be maintained to ensure that the stores's stocks are balanced among sizes, styles, colors, and items.

Second kind of retail stores is the GROCERY store, so well located supermarket shuns congested central business district locations and favors locations near large residential districts. Ease of getting into and out of the store's ample parking lot is important

. Supermarket owners try to locate so that they have good trading area around the store with no nearby competitors. But such locations are difficult to find. Grocery shoppers have strong tendency to go to the nearest stores.

Third one is the JEWELRY stores, so to the traditional jewelry stores was made extinct by the advent of the discount house, for jewelry was one of the items to be heavily discounted.

Dream Believe and Survive

Every one has its own dream to accomplish and reach it. I am almost in the end of this school year and I am to graduate.

From a very long time of studying, there, I discovered and knew that a dream is very important to our lives. Yes, when we are still young it’s relevant to have a dream as a preparation for our future. Me I have my own dream. Since I am still a fourth year student, I already planned and chose a dream for my future. The course that I’ve chosen for my college life is Business Administration because I can apply my abilities to this course. One of my dream also is to help my parents at the same time my family because I know that they were part of my hardships and education.

They say, “Everything is Possible.” We can achieve our goals if we believe to ourselves and most of all don’t forget to ask a help coming from God.

CHANGE: It Starts With Me

We all know that we are living in a nation with some crisis being happened in here. There are the poverty, crimes and others and all we need is "CHANGE".

We are about to have other leaders again in our country and live again with another person controlling it. We hope that they will do their responsibilities in leading our nation. Eventhough we are still young, we can do something for the betterment of our country. And this can be a big big contribution in progressing our country. One is to be agood child to a parent and we should love and respect them. Second is to be good student and we should study hard and study well. In terms of environment, we should also help our Mother Earth by not throwing garbages anywhere and doing a recycling process. Yes it is a very big help in making our nation to be better and progressive. At early age, we should learn our some problems especially to the Nation and even in a simple way in helping our nation.

We are really the intiation of CHANGE, we youths. Even we are still young we can already do for our nation.

Insights

I know, I gained again knowledges to our ICT subject. In this Quarter, I learned about the Web Designs and I can Now make my own Web Design.

But in this, there is also errors and problems that I have encountered and that is not being good in some parts in doing the Web Designs. In other subject too, I also encounterd some errors and that is for having some problems in my study.

But if there is problems there is always a solution for this. I can be better in making Web Design and understand all about this lessons.

I konw I did not prove all my abilities in this quarter and I promise to do my best to the rest days of this school year and improve more and prove more.

LET'S FEEL the X-mas

What is the first thing comes in your mind when the month of december comes??? Yes it's Christmas. Christmas is the season of loving and sharing.

A few days to come, we'll be celebrating again the Christmas. Many children are going house to house to carol. Many houses are decorated with a very different colorful christmas decorations. Every night, you can see a bright colors around. Many are giving help to others . Many are attending the tradition of Filipinos, the MISA DE GALLO. Yes!!!! it's already a christmas because we can now feel the essence of this season.

But there are only some true essence of celebrating Christmas. One is SHARING, this season we should share with what we have to others especially those who are in need. Instead of wasting those in not imprtant matters, why don't we share and give it to the one who is in need.

Second is, forgiving the ones who made mistakes to our lives and making an apology to whom we made a mistake. It's important for us to have a peceful mind and at the same time we'll be having a happier moment this x-mas season.

Most of all, we should "love" eachotherat this season. Not only this season but also everyday. We sould share, forgive and accept. The only purpose of this is to makes everybody MERRY and HAPPY!!!!!!!!!

For me, Christmas is not only celbrated in one month it's celebrated everytime of our lives. Everytime we should love each others. Christmas must not be celebrated by it's elegance, it must be celebrated in just a simple way.

Be proud!!!! To be a Filipino

During the month of November, we are celebrating the Filipino Values month celebration. This is partcularly sponsored by the Values department at our school.

"Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon' was the theme of this celebration. Many of our attitudes, us Filipinos are still being alive and being shown to ohters. One is being HELPFUL to others, this is being shown when some calamities destructed our country especially the typhoon Ondoy. Many lives and properties were destroyed. But we have the heart to help them. Some Filipinos have shown their being helpful and kind to the in need. As the time goes on , we should not forget to show our good attitudes. But we should also develop ourselves physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Even though we are experiencing from some dilemmas we should not forget to show our good attitudes to others.

Insights

Time is becoming faster and faster. We don't notice that we're again in an another grading period.
The second grading period have been finished and I know I improved something, I know I did still errors even though I've proven something, I know I did still errors in this grading period. All I can do is to develop and study harder. As time goes, our ICT subject more becoming interesting because I learned a lot especially about the html tags. And in the next grading period I hope this will be more interesting and educating. The only errors I've done in this period is not being familiar with the some tags and about their uses.
I hope that I can improve myself by7 studying harder and harder.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

They part of our lives especially us students, our dearest teachers. They are standing as our second parents. They contributed many advantages ti us students.

Almost everyday we see them doing their responsibilities just for us. They are teaching us the right for our own sake. First is , they taugt the basic form of our lessons. They taught also the good and right attitudes for us to apply to our everyday life. Even though, sometimes we don't listen to them they tried their best t scold us just to straighten our wrong activities. They also give pleasure to us. Without them, I don't have the knowledge that I have now. I konw the hardship of being teacher because as I observed them, I notice that they are working hard everyday to teach their students.

For me, the most important and hardest profession of all is being a teacher because without them we can't learn what they've taught to us. My teache is really my hero.

PROTECT THE WORLD

During the month of September, we usually celebrate the Science Month celebration which aims to promote to help the world from any dangers.

Our school aways celebrating the Science Month celebration which some students participated from any contests sponsored the science department . these contests also show how students show the different talentsand skills in connection to science. The theme of this celebration is "Adapting to Diverse Science Culture for Development" which means that we should discover different studies about science culture for us to developour nature and nation at the same time. Some exercises that we can do are to protect the Mother Nature, is to clean our sorroundings, protect the animals and others for the development of environment. in these cases, we show our love and carefulness to our nature just for our progression and development.

Therefore I conclude that, Adapting science culture may give some benefits to us like for our development and progession.

FILIPINO LANGUAGE: for our country's progression

We especially us Filipinos always celebrate the Buwan Ng Wika for us to LOVE, to PROMOTE and use it in proper way. The theme for this month is "WIKANG FILIPINO: Mula Baler Hanggang sa Buong Bansa".

Every languages of each countries in this world has it's own origin and where it came from. Like the Filipino language, t has own story where it came from and who is the father of this language. Filipino language is started at Baler, Quezon which Manuel L. Quezon became as the father of the Filipino language. As this language used by every Filipinos, this is known everywhere within the country as it become our NATIONAL LANGUAGE. So we must love by heart for the betterment of our country and for the progression. We must also give it respect and use it with kindness to have a better and clearer conversation and communication to others.

In this cases, we knew where our language originated and how to give importance on it.

I AM MY PROJECT

The first quarter of this school year is about end already and we're ready again to face another quarter. At the past months, from the different subjects, I learned and discovered that help me to improve my weaknesses academically. One is I learned a lot from the lessons that we have taken. Second is, I discovered that I can do things that I haven't before. Especially in TLE IV that I learned and discovered a lot especially about internet.

From this quarter, I also encountered some challenges. One is, can't follow sometimes in some lessons or directions in our class. Second is I can't recite well because of shame. But then, from these problems/challenges, it consider as my guide at the same time to improve more my weaknesses.

From those challenges or problems, I faced it confidently whatever will be happened just to leave those.

Since I showed a bad activity or anything affected my studies I can improve it by syudying hard and face and change those weaknesses or make it as your guide in striving. And I can prove that I CAN, I WILL be a good students to the next grading period.

English or Filipino, for a better communication

We all know that language is the bridge of two persons to communicate and understand each other. It is also important to learn our universal language the ENGLISH.
In school, we should not only use the Ilocano dialect in communicating others. Since we already mastered this dialect, why don't we use the English language or the Filipino. If we use these, chances are ti have more a understandable and challenging communications as well also in Filipino. Our school launched the "speak to me in English or Filipino". We should also speak with kindness and respect ways of saying it for the best communication. The purpose of this, is to let the students be subtle with these languages. And I believe that we should focus more in English because I observed some of the students doesn't know yet how to speak well and this language rather than Filipino. Since this is the universal language we can also use this someday somewhere in this world.
To have a better communication we should learn well and more in speaking these languages.

PROPER NUTRITION

Every July, we are celebrating the nutriton month and this have a theme of "WASTONG NUTRISYON KAILANGAN, LIFESTYLE DISEASES IWASAN" which means we should avoid the different diseases by maintaining our proper nutrition in different ways.
In this season, we are suffering from the different diseases like flu, fever and others. we can prevent these diseases in many ways . One is to have a proper nutrition in what ways? One is to eat nutritiuos foods like vegetables, the most important. We should also follow the GO, GROW and GLOW foods to help our body to be nourished. We should eat carbohydrates to help us to be strong especially in morning. Not only eating nutritous foods that can help us in having a healthy body but also performing some physical activities as serve as our execise . We should heve a proper hygiene, have enough rest and othr activities. If we do these all, we are surely be a healthy person and in that way, we are safe and far from any diseases.
Health is Wealth, so we must do the activities in maintaining our proper nutrition because our health is the most important to our life.
